The most colourful grey-shingle beach in the world
£250.00Price
Driftwood crochet hook and wool. The piece measures approximately 52 x 85cms.
This work seeks to distil the colours found on Jess’s favourite beach. The Tunisian crochet technique lends itself to allowing the colours to be revealed, as they are in situ, through a grey veil. When viewed from the clifftop, Portwrinkle beach in Cornwall looks to be an expanse of grey. Yet when sat by the shore, the shells, pebbles, seaweed and sea-glass are revealed in a kaleidoscope of colour.
A signed certificate of authenticity will be sent with the work.
